Junior Chamber International (JCI) Bangladesh presents “Woman of Inspiration Award 2021”
has been held on 27 th March 2021, Saturday on the occasion of celebrating International
Women’s Day 2021 at a five star hotel of Dhaka.
“Women in leadership: Achieving an equal future in a COVID-19 world”-UN Women is the theme of 2021 International Women’s Day. Based on the theme, JCI Bangladesh
conceptualized the program and recognized women’s’ achievement through providing women of inspiration award 2021 to 13 Women leaders of Bangladesh. The “Women of Inspiration Award
2021” is presented to honor the extraordinary women who lead by example, live on purpose and
inspires others to be more and do more, who have been valiant warriors of smashing
stereotypes, generating positive impact, challenging the status quo, establishing equality,
demonstrating commitment to their highest ethical standards in their journey of excellence and
empowering not only themselves but also those around them. The categories of the awards
were Entrepreneurship, Banking, Legal Affairs, Business Innovation, Medical Innovation,
Defense, Art & Culture, Fashion and Beauty, Media, Corporate Leadership etc.
This year, the awards recognized Masuma Rahman Nabila , Nahita Nishmin , Nasima Akter
Nisha Preema Nazia Andalib , Farhana Rafiq Uzzaman, Advocate Nahid Sultana (Juthi),
Barrister Rashna Imam , Rukhmila Zaman , Dr. Senjuti Saha ,Sanjida Haq Arefin Luna ,
Shamima Nasrin, Tina F. Jabeen Colonel, Dr. Zebun Nahar for their magnificent display of
finesse and irrefutable success in their respective fields.
Dr. Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury, MP, Honorable Speaker of Bangladesh Parliament virtually
graced the event as chief guest. Sagufta Yasmin Emily, MP, Member of Parliament,
Munshiganj-2, Government of People’s Republic of Bangladesh and Barrister Shah Ali Farhad,
Special Assistant to the Prime Minister, Prime Minister’s Office were present as Special guests,
while Ms JoAnne Wagner, Deputy Chief of Mission, US Embassy as Distinguished Guests.
The program was hosted by Niaz Morshed Elite, National President of JCI Bangladesh.
It is mentionable that, the Chief Coordinator of the Women of Inspiration Award 2021 is Tasmina
Ahmed Sraboni, Convener of the program is Ismat Jahan Lissa and Co-Convener is Mr. Ziaul
Haque. JCI Bangladesh’s National Officers, Local Presidents, members, business leaders,
diplomats, government officials, and other dignitaries were present at the event.. The Platinum
sponsor of the event is Daraz and the Gold sponsors are BNO, Warah, OCode and AIS.
This is to be mentioned that JCI is a nonprofit global organization of young active citizens from
age 18 to 40 who are engaged and committed to creating impact in their communities. Active
citizens are individuals invested in the future of our world. JCI gathers active citizens from all
sectors of society. JCI Bangladesh currently has 18 Local Chapters with around 1000 members.
