JCI Dhaka Young welcomes the new year with blanket distribution

Junior Chamber International (JCI) Dhaka Young 2021 celebrated the first day of the English new year exceptionally by distributing blankets among the underprivileged people. They wanted to bring joy of the new year with the people on the sidewalks and streets on a cold winter night. They distributed thousands of blankets in Dhaka and Chittagong. 

The event was titled ‘Ushno Bhalobasha’ or 'Warm Love’. Nazmul Hossain Shobuz, Local president of JCI Dhaka Young 2021, said, "Everyone celebrates the New Year in many ways. Spending the night under the sky. This winter, a blanket will give them some relief. Our goal is to put a smile on their faces and start the new year with good deeds. 

The initiative was originally planned by Nazmul Hossain Shobuz, Local President of 2021 in JCI Dhaka Young and was executed by General Legal Counsel, Rabeya Nasir Ovi & Local Director, Samia Rahman.

Professor Dr. Md. Selim Uddin, FCA, FCMA, University of Chattogram was the overall supervision and cooperation in the distribution of blankets in Chattogram. Shobuz said’ We are grateful to our donor, Abu Taleb Siddique Sanju, for his contribution of blankets in Chattogram’. The blanket distribution will take place from 1 to 15 January covering different areas of Dhaka and Chattogram.

"Junior Chamber International (JCI) is an organization of enterprising young people between the ages of 18 and 40. JCI is headquartered in St. Louis, Missouri, USA. It has operations in more than 120 countries and has over 200,000 members worldwide. JCI has 14 local chapters and all chapters are working.
