Bidyanondo Foundation has partnered with foodpanda Bangladesh to reduce food wastage and promote greater food security.

Under the collaboration, volunteers from the foundation will collect canceled foodpanda food items and drop them off at designated rider hubs. In the hubs, foodpanda will ensure the returned food remain fresh and safe for consumption throughout the day. From there, foundation volunteers will distribute the stored food among the needy and underprivileged in a way that maintains proper hygiene.

Kishor Kumar Das, Founder and Chairman of Bidyanondo Foundation said, "Even after providing food to millions of people in the One Taka Meal program, we felt dissatisfied with food charity for not being able to take any effective action against food wastage. The dream that we had for the last three years by conveying the food quoted from social events to the floating people, is now starting its journey on a large scale with foodpanda. Thanks to foodpanda for joining this journey with Bidyanondo."

Ambareen Reza, Managing Director and co-founder at foodpanda said "We're happy that Bidyanondo Foundation has come forward to support us in reducing food wastage," adding

"We're hoping that this initiative will help make a positive impact on the community and country we love so much," He added.

The initiative is currently active in Dhaka and Chattogram with plans to extend to other major cities with significant food wastage.
