JCI Bangladesh awards 10 youths for outstanding contribution to society

Junior Chamber International (JCI) Bangladesh has hosted the Ten Outstanding Young Persons (TOYP) Award 2020 to recognize youths for their outstanding contributions to society.

The event commenced at a five star hotel in Dhaka on Saturday. 

Foreign Minister AK Abdul Momen graced the occasion as chief guest while Member of Parliament Nahim Razzaq graced the event as special guest.

The awardees are Sheikh Tonmoy, Shams Mahmud, Safwan Sobhan, Siddikur Rahman, Akbar Ali, Hridoy Khan, Ayman Sadiq, Tanvir Ahmed, Nobonita Chowdhury and Reazul Kabir.

JCI’s TOYP award honours ten incredible young leaders under the age of 40 each year. These individuals exemplify the spirit of the JCI Mission and have extraordinary accomplishments in the development of society.

The award recognized achievements in various categories such as business, economic, or entrepreneurial accomplishment; political, legal, or governmental affairs; academic leadership or accomplishment; personal improvement or accomplishment; medical innovation; cultural achievement; and humanitarian or voluntary leadership; etc. 

National President of JCI Bangladesh Ms Sarah Kamal stated that we will be developing leaders for a changing world and focus on sustaining and rebuilding economies, motivating the workforce, preserving mental health and cultivating a global leadership mentality among members, amplifying their existing skills and talents through high quality events and training. 

JCI is a global organization of young leaders aged 18-40 who are dedicated to creating the positive change they wish to see in themselves and the world.  The community has more than 150, 000 active members in 105 countries.

JCI Bangladesh every year takes the initiative inrecognizing the contribution of youth in the society.
