Salary 30 thousand, bank transactions hundreds of crores

He also gets some more allowance for extra work. But his bank has more than one hundred crore rupees in transactions. Not one or two, but 98 bank accounts have been found. He owns several houses and flats in Dhaka and also uses expensive cars. The name of the accused is Atiqur Rahman Khan. There are allegations that he became the owner of huge assets through the school admission trade. An intelligence agency and its own investigation found the information.

Atiqur Rahman Khan declined to comment at first when asked about the source of this huge wealth. He later called himself and told this reporter that he had been in business since before he joined Ideal School. He has also taken loans of around Tk 10 crore from various banks. He has made a fortune by doing business.


Atiqur Rahman Khan joined Motijheel Ideal School and College in 2004 as a third class employee in the post of Deputy Assistant Engineer. He has been performing additional duties as an administrative officer since 2015. There are allegations that he has got the 'golden deer' since he joined the educational institution. Every year he takes huge amount of money in the name of illegally admitting students in different classes of the school. With these funds he has built a mountain of wealth.

It is learned that the father of Atiqur Rahman, a resident of Kaliganj in Gazipur, is a farmer. Before joining Ideal School, he worked for a developer company called Concord. He has set up various institutions with the money earned by being involved in the trade of admission in Ideal School. There is a Biswas Library at Banasree Mosque Market in Rampura, an organization called Biswas Bazar in Block B, Aftabnagar, a real estate company named Vision-71 at Plot No. 12, Road No. 5, Rampura Banasree area, four houses in Aftabnagar and another house in Banasree. There is also an organization called Khan Filling and LPG in Banasree area, National Fried Kitchen in Aftabnagar.

Atiqur Rahman Khan's 97 bank account information has been found in 15 banks of the country. The banks are Al Arafah Islami Bank, BRAC Bank, Dhaka Bank, Dutch Bangla Bank, First Security Islami Bank, Mutual Trust Bank, National Bank, NCC Bank, NRB Global Bank, One Bank, Southeast Bank, Prime Bank, City Bank, IFIC Bank and Eastern Bank Limited. 110 crore 79 lakh 92 thousand 392 taka has been transacted in these banks from 2008 to March 26 this year. Among them are transactions in the name of Atiqur Rahman-owned company, wife Nahida Akhter Neepa, elder brother Abdus Salam Khan, Fazlur Rahman Khan and father-in-law Nurul Islam. Atiqur's elder brother Abdus Salam is working as the Assistant Headmaster of Bangla Medium Diba Branch of Motijheel Ideal School.

According to the investigation, an account was opened in Southeast Bank in 2015 in the name of National Fried Chicken owned by Atiqur Rahman Khan. As a result, about 2 crore rupees has been transacted. But no trace of that institution was found in Aftabnagar. Besides, a transaction of Tk 6 crore was found in the name of HK Khan Enterprise owned by Atiqur Rahman Khan as one of Prime Bank. The Biswas Library of Banasree Mosque Market was found at the address of the organization.

It
has been learned that Atiqur Rahman Khan has become the owner of huge wealth through admission trade since he joined Motijheel Ideal School. Apart from the main branch of Motijheel Ideal School, there are two separate branches at Mugda and Rampura. In this school at least 3 to 4 thousand students are admitted every year in Bengali through Prabhati and Diba and in English version in Prabhati and Diba branch every year. Every year students are admitted here for money. Atiqur Rahman Khan is one of the members of the illegal student admission syndicate.

According to the investigation, 3,000 students were admitted in different branches of Motijheel Ideal School and College this year. Hundreds of students have been admitted in exchange for money. Atiqul Islam Khan used to take 5 to 6 lakh rupees for admission to each student. Three guardians have admitted to this reporter that they were admitted through money. Besides, this reporter has some records of Atiqur Rahman Khan's conversation with a broker about admission.

Asked about the admission of students for money, Atiqur Rahman Khan denied the allegations and said, "He is not involved in the illegal admission trade."

However, he admitted that students were admitted to Motijheel Ideal School and College illegally. Atiqur Rahman's comment, 'There is a list and resolution of those who have been admitted illegally in the school. They will find out only if they find out on whose recommendation they have been admitted. I'm not involved. '
