37 firefighters received state medals

Fire Service and Civil Defense Week started on November 4 across the country with the motto 'I swear in the year of Mujib, protect life and property in disasters'. This year, 37 officers and employees have been given state medals in this special week.

In a ceremony held at the Fire Service and Civil Defense Headquarters on Saturday (November 8) at 11 a.m. on its concluding day, 36 state-awarded officers and employees were awarded medals in recognition of their heroic contributions.

The chief guest was the Secretary of the Ministry of Homeland Security Services. Mokabbir Hossain. The ceremony was presided over by the Director General of the Fire Service and Civil Defense Department Brie. General Md. Sajjad Hossain.

After receiving the greetings as the chief guest, in recognition of their heroic contribution, Secretary Md. Awarded medals to 36 officers and employees who were awarded the state medal this year. Mokabbir Hossain.

On the occasion, he thanked all concerned for the successful completion of Fire Service Week celebrations. During this time, he highlighted the various achievements of the Fire Service and Civil Defense and expressed satisfaction with their service.

It is to be noted that Fire Service Week is celebrated this year as every year with the aim of raising awareness among the people and increasing public participation in fire service and civil defense activities to strengthen fire safety across the country. From 4th to 6th November, rehearsals and public relations, publication of supplements, mechanical processions, distribution of leaflets and posters along with leaflets and inspections of various garment industries and other industrial establishments were held across the country.

The current government has increased the number of state medals and honors to encourage adventurous contributions to operational work in the fire service and civil defense. There is an opportunity to give this medal to maximum 50 people every year.
