DU female student found dead at Azimpur Staff Quarters

The body of a Dhaka University student has been recovered from a house in the government staff quarters at Azimpur in the capital. His body was recovered when the bathroom door of a house in the quarter broke down on Sunday morning.

The student's name is Israt Jahan Tusti. He was a second year student of English Department of Dhaka University.

He said the two students lived in a sublet in a house on the ground floor of the staff quarters. In the morning his roommate woke up and saw the toilet door locked from the inside. But tap water was falling inside.

The on-duty doctor declared her dead. The body has been kept in the morgue of the hospital.

Hafizur Rahman, another student of Dhaka University, died mysteriously last month. It is learned about Hafizur's death that he cut his throat by snatching a da from a dab seller in front of the outer gate of Dhaka Medical College Hospital. Upon receiving the news, the police, with the help of people, jumped from the rickshaw while being taken to the hospital by rickshaw. He was then taken to the emergency department of the hospital. Seeing the bad condition, he was also taken to OT. In the meantime he died.

However, no one knew his identity then. His body was in the morgue of DMCH. More than a week later, Hafizur's family identified his body.

It is now known that Hafiz lost control of himself with a drug called LSD.
